The Pablo Picasso Spanish School, founded in 1982, has successfully hosted over 25,000 Spanish students from around the world, establishing itself as one of Málaga's most prestigious and longstanding language institutions. Strategically located in the picturesque Plaza de la Merced, our school occupies a historic 19th-century building, just steps away from the museum house where the renowned painter Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881.
Our environment not only offers an enriching educational experience but also provides privileged access to the beaches, monuments, cinemas, theaters, shopping centers, and vibrant nightlife of the city. With a professional and multilingual team, we are here to provide detailed information about our Spanish courses, as well as accommodation options in shared apartments or with Spanish families, in various languages including Spanish, German, French, and English.
The Spanish courses in Málaga - Picasso are designed to adapt to different schedules and levels of language proficiency, with a minimum duration of one week and daily classes of 50 minutes from Monday to Friday. We offer flexible schedules to meet the needs of our students, allowing you to start any Monday and join the appropriate level for your learning, except for beginners, who must adhere to the official schedule to start their course.

time schedule and contents can be chosen by the student
Our students can choose from among the following lodging types
• Apartments-to-share: with other students of the Institute, in either single- or in double-rooms.
The apartments use to be within walking distance* and have 3 or 4 bed-rooms, a living-room, kitchen and one or two complete bathrooms.
The kitchen is equipped for preparing and having meals. Bedsheets and blankets (though no towels!) are provided for as well as washing machine and tv set.
* In summer a period of an elevated number of students and high demand for apartments which can be hard to find close at hand, some lodgings within 15 or 20 minutes of the Picasso school have to be rented.
• Homestay with a Spanish family: The Institute selects among the host families who receive our students to make them feel at home, in nice rooms either single-rooms or double-rooms shared with another room mate, either with half or full board. Thus our students have the opportunity to practise Spanish in Malaga with as well after class.
• Mini-apartment, 1 or 2 persons: This living unit is hard to find in Malaga during the summer months, as they are a not too frequent flat type, and that is why they have to be booked long before. They use to be downtown, their condition is average, their furniture rather plain, as they are headed towards high benefits within a short but top tourist season.
These apartments have bed sheets, in most cases tv set but no washing machine.
