Cork English World, established in 2011, is located in Cork’s city centre. CEW is dedicated to the teaching of General & Business English, international Teacher Training and corporate Foreign Language training. This centre is located in one of Cork’s most historic buildings directly opposite the famous St. Finbarre’s Cathedral.

IELTS, the International English Language Training System is “the world’s proven English language test” for non-native English language speakers. It is recognised by over 6,000 worldwide employers, professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
25/25 is a system that is offered by Cork English World and part of the IELTS course. It offers to students to attend classes 15 or 20 hours per week for 25 weeks and the remaining 25 weeks is classed as holiday time.
Cork English World is a certified Cambridge Examination Preparation centre.
The Cambridge First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced & Proficiency exams are recognised by thousands of worldwide employers and educational organisations. Many employers select candidates who have a Cambridge certificate.
Our Cambridge Examination Preparation courses aim to prepare students for the following exams:
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
CAE (Cambridge Advanced Exam)
FCE (First Certificate Exam)
KET (Key English Test)
PET (Preliminary English Test)
CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)
Cork English World courses are designed to provide students with the language skills needed to communicate effectively and confidently in English. Our Courses also provide students with the skills and strategies necessary for learning English outside the classroom.
General English courses are available all year round and are multinational. Students can enrol for any number of weeks with a minimum stay of 1 week. Courses are of 15 or 20 hours per week, which allows time for private study and afternoon activities.
24 hour courses are designed for students who wish to follow a more intensive English course.
The Business Combination course is ideal for business clients who wish to study both General English and English for a Specific Purpose. This can include the following areas:
Business English
English for Marketing
English for I.T
Aeronautical English
Legal English
These courses are intensive and designed to achieve maximum benefit in a short period of time. Mornings classes are in a group (General English) with a maximum of 10 participants.
CEW recommends a minimum of 2 weeks on this programme to ensure maximum progress.
Cork English World, Ireland’s largest International Teacher Training centre, provides In-service Professional Training to teachers from all over the world.

Apartments
North Quay Place is located just 10 minutes from Cork English World School.
At North Quay Place, apartment accommodation involves a private bedroom in a shared 4 bedroom apartment, two bathrooms, a living/dining area and a kitchen. In apartment accommodation, you provide your own food. Bed linen (pillow & blanket) is provided.
Host Family
Cork English World’s host families are very carefully selected to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay for you. Living with a family is a good way to practise your English outside class and experience Irish life and culture.
